What not to do in a cross race.....

So here I am before going down this smallish imbankment with this other girl I caught
up to and what did I do?

I said........ GO AHEAD.. YOU CAN GO..... as if I was in my car and being a polite and curtious driver and letting her merge into traffic out of the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.
I think I was actually looking for *the wave* at the bottom of the hill from her for my act of kindness. Instead she beat my timid amazon azz.

LOL - sounds like something I would do! So, did she wave?

Ha! So funny. That's me during the swim in tri's!! I will forever think of this now when I'm courteous in the water...and say "f" that and plow right over them! Thanks! :)

PS How about NO peanut butter for Nov challenge?

What sista....you should have knocked her in the dirt...ha! I hope you learn to toughen up as that would have been one spot up the ladder:) Did you atleast get a thank you or did she say "see your azz at the finish line"

Haha. That is hilarious. I practically did the same thing during my first warmup lap on that dropoff.

I didn't know how big the drop off was, got a little timid, slammed the brakes and almost caused a pile up with some speed freaks coming up behind me. Yikes!

It looks like we were in the same race too. I saw your pink handlebars roaming around, but wasn't able to catch you and say hi. All those tiny girls in the left of the picture in your last post were the ones that flew past me. Huge ego check, but tons of fun. :-)

I would let everyone go ahead of me. In fact, I had a dream last night that I entered a mountain bike race and it was so crowded that all of the women had no choice except to PUSH their bikes the whole way. I was so happy ath the back of the group. I am good at mountain bike pushing! But, no wonder why I was so tired this morning....

I feel shame.

You're great Tri Girl Pink! That was me that you let go ahead and I thankful that you didn't plow over me, although I wouldn't have blamed you if you did. It was my 2nd cyclocross race ever (2nd bike race ever for that matter.) I love the idea of cycling alongside (if I'm lucky enough to keep up)such great, strong women as yourself. Hope to see you on another cyclocross course! Lizzie
