CHIN UP MAGGS!!! :-)

This is my friend Maggie( we both used to be on BTT) who I went to visit today after having hand surgery yesterday to repair damaged nerves and tendons from a thumb she almost left on the kitchen counter and who is also signed up for Lake Placid. Uh oh, is right. The only thing she'll be doing July 20th is ringin' a cow bell.

Maggs...if you REEEEEALY didn't want to do LP, you could have just said so and not
cut of an appendage!

Please send her good thoughts and healing vibes.

I am signed up for a 1/2 ironman on Saturday so wish me luck in finding my bike rack
in T2. Duh...

Happy Happy safe training, racing and travels for the 4th!

good luck - which half is it? i should be somewhere in the middle of nowhere on sat. but if i get a chance to look it up, i will :).

try the helium balloon trick in transition, you shouldn't be able to miss your bike that way...and i'm with jen on this one, "don't make me have to fly out there and...", lol

Head up Maggie! It will be okay - good vibes from Florida to you!

Good luck this weekend Elaine! And don't loose your bike!

Then again, if it SHOULD happen, I would be very curious about what Jen says. Hee hee hee. :)

LOL! Sounds like you should make your own race signs and post them from water exit to T2, then spray paint colorful little round balls on cement to your bike, call it the "yellow brick road" effect!

Hope your friend Maggie will gain full use of her thumb soon. bummer.

Have fun with your race. Can;t wait to see pictures. Take a picture of your bike racked in T2 for us!!

Oh I am all about Kerrie's plan, balloons work GREAT! A little funny, but they work!

Prayers are on the way to Maggs!

Have fun in your race... go hard, make it hurt, make it count!
